Using the Get iTunes Song feature

Help Detail: This help document explains how to use the "Get iTunes Song" button in Canto Pod for OSX.

One of the most exciting and useful tools of Canto Pod for Mac OSX is its relationship with iTunes.

Here is the use of the iTunes Song tab through an example.

Currently, iTunes is playing "Wind it Up" by Gwen Stefani.

Clicking on the tab, as pictured above, while the song is either playing or paused, will search for it in Canto Pod.

The search results will then be displayed. The first song found is the one we are looking for. Clicking on the large bold Wind It Up text will display the lyrics for that song.

Simply put, the iTunes Song button allows you to search for a song without having to type anything in. This is a great convenience. If you are listening to a song and want to get the lyrics for it, you simply open dashboard (most computers have the shortcut for dashboard set to F12) and click the "iTunes Song" button.

After finding the proper lyrics, you may either Copy to iPod, or Copy to Song, or choose to do nothing and simply read the lyrics.
